ESSENTIAL AYURVEDA

I have just finished a 7 day Panchakarma Retreat with Essential Ayurveda. To say the least it was a life changing experience which includes Ayurvedic Consultations, Ayurveda Theory Lessons, Ayurvedic Cookery Demonstrations and Yoga, Pranayama and Meditation Techniques as well as over 2 hours of daily massages performed by two therapists working at the same time with synchronised movements. There were Steam treatments, Shirodhara and Craniosacral Therapy thrown in for good measure.

The Retreat Centre is a wonderful 17th Century Farmhouse with a very large and beautiful garden. In the Summer there are horses in the field at the bottom of the garden who love an apple or two.

The Owners of the Centre are Andy and Laura Shakeshaft who live in a cottage next door and come in each day to oversee the Daily Programme. I found both of them to be highly skilled and very well trained but above and beyond that I feel they are both very enlightened people with a really caring nature and deep healing abilities. I wholeheartedly recommend the experience.
